JOHNNY FENTON
ABOUT ME
Hey, I’m Johnny! I’m currently a senior Musical Theatre major at Penn State — WE ARE! I was raised in Wappingers Falls, New York, though I usually say Poughkeepsie to save everyone a Google search.
Growing up just outside New York City, I was introduced to musical theatre at a young age and quickly fell in love with the art form. Some of my favorite roles I’ve played include Bobby Child (Crazy for You), Mendel (Falsettos), Costard (Love’s Labour’s Lost), Swing (Joe Iconis’ Family Album), and Ensemble, u/s Andre (Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812).
In addition to performing, I have a strong passion for choreography and directing. I’ve had the opportunity to choreograph Concord's production of True Crime Frankenstein by Matt Cox and Eli Bolin, and this past summer I was the Associate Choreographer, Dance Captain, and an ensemble member in Hairspray at Theatre By The Sea, directed and choreographed by Chris Campbell.
When I’m not in the rehearsal room, you can usually find me at the nearest Regal Cinema. I’m an avid moviegoer, and nothing beats a slushie and buttery popcorn — or, if I’m feeling bold, maybe some Raisinets.
